The Benefits of Massage Therapy

One of the primary reasons that clients come to see me is because they are in pain or experiencing discomfort. That pain or discomfort may not necessarily be severe or debilitating, and it may take the form of just tension or mild discomfort. However, it is still the signal of something that is not right in your body and your attention will be continually drawn to that area. This, in fact, is one of the distinct advantages that I, as massage therapists, utilize to your benefit. I offer a form of treatment which in most cases will provide you with immediate results and feedback (usually through the reduction in pain) on how my treatment has affected you and your condition.

There are times however, when you desire nothing more than touch therapy from a highly skilled therapist who provides a safe and professional environment that allows for an extremely relaxing massage. The goal is to de-stress while enjoying the benefits that hands on therapy can provide.

Whatever your interest and needs, I am here to help!

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massageThe goal of orthopedic massage is to treat painful conditions which affect the soft tissues of the body. My Orthopedic Massage Treatments involve Functional Orthopedic Testing in order to specifically pinpoint the damaged and painful soft tissue of the body so that I can focus upon speeding the healing process through the use of a variety of direct and indirect hands-on methods. Stretching of the overly tight muscles is sometimes employed, as well as the use of cryotherapy (Ice) treatments and heat, which further speeds the healing and recovery process.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue massageDeep Tissue Massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back and hip tightness, as well as for sore shoulders.

Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on the areas of tension and pain.

My experience, training and sensitivity allows me to work very effectively at resolving your issues without causing pain or discomfort, and at the same time allowing for a deeply relaxing session.

Lomi Lomi

Lomi-Lomi massageMy intention while performing lomi lomi is to create a free energy flow by releasing stress and tension in the body and to restore balance and harmony to mind, body and spirit by working deeply through these levels. When I touch your body, it is with total respect, non-judgment, compassion and love.

Different parts of your body may be massaged at the same time and full and under-body strokes are used to bring the body back into balance and instill a deep sense of peace, harmony and well-being.

This massage is given in a fluid, rhythmic motion working with the body's natural flow and rhythm. lomi lomi is also known as "Loving Hands" or "Temple Style" massage. At completion of the massage, you will feel blissfully relaxed, with the benefits of the healing continuing long after the massage has ended.

Testimonials
"Aloha Randall, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for your amazing work and the transformation that my body has undergone as a result. The ten Rolf Method sessions you did for me have made such a dramatic positive impact on everything from my posture, to relieving the severe pain that I had experienced for years after my motorcycle accident. After two years of various therapies I had all but given up on being able to feel this good again. I'm now able to exercise regularly, I have tons more energy and really feel good about the way my body is shaping up. I really appreciate the phenomenal skills that you have developed in the Rolf Method field, and also the thoughtful manner in which you approach your profession. You truly are a blessing to anyone looking to improve their life!"
